A group of TY students travelled to the Convention Centre, Dublin on Saturday 20th April to sing at the 180th anniversary celebrations of SVP in Ireland. Our school was invited to perform in front of a packed auditorium along with four other schools from other regions of Ireland. They sang the song Lean On Me, accompanied by Ms. O Flanagan on guitar.
Keynote speakers on the day included Mary Robinson (former President of Ireland) and Kevin Cunningham (lecturer in politics in TU, Dublin & founder of Ireland Thinks). The MC for the event was Marty Whelan.
Our students were treated to a delicious meal and goodie bag. Well done to TY our students on their fantastic performance, a very memorable day was had by all.
