2018
Well done to all students who took part in the O’Connor-Power debating competition in St.Jarlath’s College, Tuam. Great preparation was put in by all involved. Tara Brady and John Duignan did the school proud with their performances and the icing on the cake was John taking home the award for ‘Best Speaker’.
Congratulations to Patrick Murray in Transition Year, who won the award for Best Speaker in the local heat of the Mental Health Ireland National Public Speaking Project 2012. Patrick and his team mates, Conar Smyth (TY), Nicole Duffy (TY) and Edel Keaveney (Fifth Year) spoke on the topic,
“What is this life if full of care, we have no time to stand and stare.”
