Course Outline

There are five strands in the new “Project Maths” Syllabus starting in September 2010. These are:
• Statistics and Probability
• Geometry and Trigonometry
• Number
• Algebra
• Functions
 
The new syllabus is being worked in on a phased basis and will be first examined in June 2013.

Assessment

Junior Certificate Maths is examined at three levels: Higher, Ordinary and Foundation.

Higher - 2 papers lasting two and half hours each

Ordinary - 2 papers lasting two hours each

Foundataion - 1 paper lasting two hours

All questions are compulsory on each paper.
