Course Outline

There are five strands in the new “Project Maths” Syllabus starting in September 2010. These are:
• Statistics and Probability
• Geometry and Trigonometry
• Number
• Algebra
• Functions
 
The new syllabus is being worked in on a phased basis and will be first examined in June 2013.

Assessment

Maths in Leaving Cert is examined at Higher, Ordinary and Foundation Levels.

Higher - 2 papers lasting two and half hours each

Ordinary - 2 papers lasting two hours each

Foundation - 2 papers lasting two hours each
