The Ty class of 2016/17 put on the play 'Many Young Men of Twenty' in Glenamaddy Town Hall on May 2nd and 3rd. This was a fantastic achievement for the group and it was extremely well recieved by its patrons. Well done to all involved. Please see below from pics from the nights.

The Trad Group is a new addition to Glenamaddy C.S. Music Department and rehearsals take place every Tuesday at 1:15 in the Religion Room.
The Trad group is a group of instrumentalists who come together to play traditional Irish music. Anyone is welcome to join no matter what instrument or level you have.
The Glenamaddy Community School Ensemble meets every Monday at 1:15 in the Religion Room.
The Ensemble is a small group of Instrumentalists. They learn to play a wide range of music from choral music to music of the musicals, pop music and much more.
The Ensemble also takes part in many masses and celebrations in the school and in the Christmas and Summer Concerts.
Taking part in the ensemble is a great opportunity for all students and is particularly useful for music students as they can use the pieces from Ensemble and use some of the Ensemble members with them for their practical examinations.
New members are always welcome.
Glenamaddy Community School stages a musical during the month of November each year. Auditions are held in May of the previous year and students going into 2nd, TY and 5th years are invited to audition for parts or to help with sets, costumes, hair and make-up and backstage.
This is a great opportunity for students to learn about working as a team and to improve their confidence. It is something that all students who take part really enjoy and talk about for years to come.
