Congratulations to Savine Keaveney, Ella Grogan and Tracey Gillooly who made it to the Final 15 in the John Hooper National Maths Competition held by the CSO annually. They received an Order of Merit for their Project entitled “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!”. A wonderful achievement out of 258 projects entered nationwide.
They looked at the effects a sports injury has on teenager’s sports ability, social and mental health.

On Saturday, March 9, three students, Alfie Dowling (First Year), Beth O’Mahony (Second Year) and Hazel McGuire (Second Year) competed in the All-Ireland Cross-Country Final in Tymon Park in Tallaght in Dublin. All three students displayed exceptional endurance and had strong races, featuring well up the field.
Beth said “I think I ran well and the experience and atmosphere is always nice at All-Irelands”, while Hazel said, “I was happy with my performance and pace and it was a great experience that I enjoyed very much”. Alfie, new to Post-Primary School Cross-Country, is showing wonderful talent and this is the start of a bright future in running for him. Congratulations to all three students!

Glenamaddy Community School PLC students were on a two-week Erasmus+ work placement programme in Malaga. This invaluable experience, in conjunction with their host company European Era, was made possible through the funding of the Erasmus+ Programme by the European Union. Their itinerary was brimming with cultural immersion and professional development opportunities.
