Well done to all of our first year Home Economics students who recently completed their first textiles assignment; emoji cushions. Each student used a Design Brief process to design and make their cushions, super work everyone.

A Festive Fusion of Music Song and Christmas Cheer, will take place again this year, on Thursday the 20th of December at 7pm in the GP Area at Glenamaddy Community School. it has proved to be a wonderful start to the Christmas for all in previous years and this year proves to be another cracker and a great Christmas night out for all the family. No booking necessary, charge on the night at the door, €5 for adults and €2 for children and there will be complimentary refreshments of mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies on the night.

G.C.S. hosted it's first Business & Careers Fair last Wed 28th in the schools G.P. area. It was a very successful and informative evening for those in attendance. The school would like to thank all those who had a stand at the event and also to Ms. Hardiman for organising the evening.

Our second year and TY maths classes ran the distance of a trip to dublin and back to athlone on the running track last Thursday as part of our maths week celebrations.

Students of GCS will present a Business & Career Fair in the school on November 28th from 4 - 6pm. A host of business will be present featuring ECC timber, Boston Scientific, Meteor, Kirby Group, Ward & Burke, Actualise, Solas and many more. All are welcome to attend on the evening.
